However, he overlooked one crucial fact: the western kingdom was not a trustworthy ally. Murong Cai soon became seen as a threat by the monarch of the western kingdom due to his intelligence and wit. Eventually, Murong Cai was assassinated by the western kingdom, and his plot led him to a situation where he regretted his actions. He experienced the irony of the South-Facing Chariot and North-Facing Steeds.
